Sarah Piper serves as a Senior Program Associate for DTTAC at the Emory Centers for Training and Technical Assistance. Sarah’s responsibilities include managing National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach Trainings for organizations around the country. She coordinates all aspects of the trainings and works with DTTAC Master Trainers to ensure the highest quality training delivery. Prior to joining the DTTAC team in 2011, she spent 16 years in direct service settings providing diabetes education and health education to people affected by chronic disease. Sarah also has experience training staff in patient education and health literacy. Sarah received a bachelor’s degree in human development from Arizona State University and an MPH from Emory University, and she became a certified diabetes educator (CDE) in 2004. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, creating children’s books, and being with her family.
